Industrial-Grade TIG Welding with Wireless Freedom
The Miller Maxstar 400 is a professional-grade 400-amp DC inverter welder designed for heavy industrial applications, precision fabrication, pipe welding, and exotic material work. This complete package includes everything you need to start welding at a high level: the welder, a wireless remote foot control, the Coolmate 4 PRO water cooler with coolant, a Weldcraft W-375 TIG torch kit, a running gear cart with cylinder rack, and a gas regulator with hose.
One of the most powerful features of this machine is its Auto-Line technology, which automatically accepts any input voltage from 208 to 600 volts, on either single-phase or three-phase power, without any manual linking. This makes the Maxstar 400 incredibly versatile for job sites around the world, where power supplies can vary significantly. It also performs reliably on dirty or unstable power sources, thanks to its robust design.
Advanced Controls for Precision Welding
The large 7-inch LCD display features a simplified user interface that makes navigation and setup straightforward. The Pro-Set feature automatically configures welding parameters based on your material and process, eliminating guesswork and reducing setup time. For experienced welders who prefer full control, the machine also offers a manual mode where you can fine-tune every parameter to your exact preferences.
The Maxstar 400 features advanced DC pulse TIG waveforms with a range of 0.1 to 5,000 pulses per second. QuitePulse technology significantly reduces pulse chatter when using sine or triangular waveforms, delivering an exceptionally smooth and precise arc that is ideal for welding exotic materials like titanium, Inconel, and stainless steel. The Blue Lightning high-frequency arc starter provides consistent, non-contact arc starts, while Lift-Arc offers an alternative for environments where high frequency is not desired.
Smart Cooling and Memory Functions
The integrated Cooler Power Supply (CPS) provides a dedicated receptacle for the Coolmate 4 PRO water cooler, which is included in this package. The Cooler-On-Demand feature operates the cooling system only when needed, saving power and reducing wear on the cooler. The Fan-On-Demand cooling system in the power source works similarly, running only when necessary to reduce noise, energy consumption, and the intake of airborne contaminants.
The program memory function allows you to name, save, and recall up to 100 favorite weld settings, making it easy to switch between different jobs and materials without manually re-entering parameters. This ensures consistent quality, even when welders of varying skill levels are using the machine. The Auto-Postflow feature automatically adjusts the post-flow time based on the amperage setting, protecting your tungsten electrode and eliminating the need for manual adjustment.

Quick reference guide
How to Use Your New Welder
Getting started is straightforward. Connect the primary cord to your available power source (single or three-phase, 208-600V), and the Auto-Line technology handles the rest. Fill the Coolmate 4 PRO water cooler with the included coolant and connect the TIG torch cooling lines. Attach the Weldcraft W-375 torch to the front panel, connect your shielding gas, and set your gas flow on the regulator. Use the 7-inch display to select your process (DC TIG, Pulsed TIG, or Stick), and either let the Pro-Set feature suggest parameters or dial in your own settings in manual mode. The wireless foot control gives you full amperage control at your feet, without the hassle of cables.
Please Note
This is a DC welder only and is not designed for AC TIG welding or aluminum welding. The wireless foot control and receiver are included in this package.
