See Your Welds Like Never Before
The Miller Black Digital Elite ClearLight 4x welding helmet redefines what you can expect from an auto-darkening lens. With a massive 9.2 square inch viewing area and advanced high-definition optics, this helmet delivers visual clarity that is up to four times better than the minimum ANSI standard for 1/1/1/1 rated lenses. The result is a crystal-clear, true-color view in both the light and dark states, so you can see your puddle, joint, and surrounding work area with remarkable detail.
Whether you are welding indoors, outdoors, in tight corners, or on low-amperage TIG applications, this helmet adapts to your environment. The four arc sensors work together with Miller’s X-Mode electromagnetic sensing to eliminate sunlight interference and prevent lens flashing, even when sensors are partially obstructed. It is rated for low-amperage TIG welding down to just 5 amps, and the switching speed is an incredible 1/25,000 of a second, offering instant protection the moment you strike an arc.
Smart Features for Smarter Welding
This helmet is built with the welder in mind. The digital controls make it easy to adjust between four operating modes: Weld Mode (shades 8-13), Cut Mode (shades 5-8), Grind Mode (shade 2.5 light state), and X-Mode (shades 8-13). The memory function lets you save two preset settings for quick switching between different jobs, and the half-shade adjustments allow for fine-tuning to match your exact preference.
The InfoTrack 2.0 technology tracks your arc time and arc count, which is helpful for quoting jobs or monitoring worker safety metrics. AutoSense eliminates guesswork by automatically setting the helmet’s sensitivity with the push of a button, so you get consistent performance no matter where you are working. The Legacy headgear is ergonomically designed with extensive adjustments, so the helmet stays comfortable and secure during long welding sessions.
What’s Included in the Box
This helmet comes ready to protect and perform. You receive five outside cover lenses and two inside cover lenses, so you can keep your view clear for a long time. A protective helmet bag is also included for storage and transport. Plus, it is backed by Miller’s four-year True Blue lens warranty, giving you confidence in your investment.
How to Use Your New Helmet
Getting started is simple. The helmet powers on automatically when you strike an arc, so there is no on/off switch to worry about. To set up your environment, press and hold the AutoSense button while looking at your surroundings, and the helmet adjusts the sensitivity to match the lighting conditions. Use the digital buttons to select your desired shade and mode—Weld for general welding, Cut for plasma or oxy-fuel cutting, Grind for grinding and chipping, and X-Mode for outdoor or low-amp applications where sunlight might interfere. The headgear adjusts for tilt, distance, and fit, ensuring you can position the helmet exactly where you need it for the best view.
Please Note
While the helmet is rated for TIG welding down to 5 amps, it is always recommended to verify compatibility with your specific low-amperage applications.
